SureScan Corporation Appoints New President and CEO

SureScan Corporation this week announced it has appointed LeeAnn Levesque as President. Promoted from the post of General Manager, which she has held since 2004, Ms. Levesque has been responsible for the design, manufacture and sale of SureScan’s x1000 computed tomography explosives detection checked baggage screening solution.

Ms. Levesque’s leadership in her new role is expected to better enable SureScan to capture market share with the x1000 stationary gantry explosive detection system (EDS) for checked baggage screening.

“SureScan’s unique stationary gantry solution represents an opportunity to take a leadership position in the marketplace,” said Jim Matthews, Chairman of the Board of Directors for SureScan. “LeeAnn has been instrumental in our success to date and we are confident in her ability to take the company to the next level. The combination of engaged leadership and superior technology will allow us to penetrate the market as we move into a growth and profitability phase. We are pleased to announce LeeAnn as our new President and CEO.”

Ms. Levesque brings 25 years of industry experience and industry contacts to her new position, having spent her early career in Stuttgart, Germany and Washington, D.C. focused on developing contract opportunities with government agencies including the Department of Defense. Her experience includes work with Bolt, Beranek & Newman securing Department of Defense contracts, management positions at Cable & Wireless in Europe as well as Director of Sales for global contract manufacturer, Sanmina-SCI.
