Radiological Waste Transport and Disposal

The U.S. federal government has recently awarded the following notable contract related to the fields of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) or explosives countermeasures, equipment or services:

The following organizations were awarded a $225,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) multiple award task order contract with options to transport and dispose of varying types of radiological waste:

  • Environmental Rail Solutions, Inc., Shrewsbury, New Jersey (W912-DR-15-D-0008)
  • Aleut World Solutions, LLC, Anchorage, Alaska (W912-DR-15-D-0007)
  • Penguin Logistics LLC, d/b/a MHF Services, Wexford, Pennsylvania (W912-DR-15-D-0005)
  • Pika International, Inc., Stafford, Texas (W912-DR-15-D-0006)

Funding and work location will be determined with each order with an estimated completion date of March 30, 2025. Bids were solicited via the internet with four received. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore, Maryland is the contracting activity.
