The Emergency Response Training Institute of Seattle, Wa. was recently awarded a contract to support full scale, Chemical/Biological/Radiological Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Collective Training exercises in Hawaii.
The objective of the task is to assist and execute 36 hour, full scale, CBR Weapons of Mass Destruction Collective Training exercises in Hawaii. The exercises will create an environment to facilitate the accurate assessment of the twelve National Guard Civil Support Team Mission Essential Tasks.
These exercises will also involve the 93d (HI), 94th (GU), 103rd CST (AK), as well as other to be named mainland CSTs and the HI-CERFP.
The contractor will provide experienced and certified staff to create target sites that replicate chemical and biological laboratory production, radiological and explosives manufacturing labs, and act as role players in the scenario.
The government estimates that ten days will be needed to complete the task with seven days for preparation of elaborate chemical, biological, radiological, and explosives labs, two days for execution, and one day for clean-up.
The contract is valued at $111,886.
