The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) is seeking contract support for neurotrauma biomarker characterization services for blast exposure studies.
WRAIR’s “Evaluation of Blood Biomarkers and Automated QEEG from Concussed and Non-Concussed Cohorts in a Combat Zone” and “Evaluation of the Bio-Effects from Chronic Exposure to Low-Level Blast” research projects requires sample analysis to evaluate levels of two biomarkers of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), specifically ubiquitin c-terminal hydrolase-L I (UCH-LI), and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) with the target CL platform or newer form of assay.
Initial biomarker analysis for these efforts was completed in 2012 & 2013, but new work is warranted based on documented improvements in the required assays since 2013.
Further details are available via Solicitation Number: W81XWH-16-T-0032. The response deadline is Dec 18, 2015.
