LGS Innovations Awarded Standoff Chemical Detection Contract

The Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded a contract to LGS Innovations LLC, Applied Research and Technology, Florham Park, New Jersey to develop a portable system for real-time standoff detection and identification of trace chemical residues on surfaces using active infrared spectroscopy at a 30-meter range.

The contract (FA8650-16-C-9108) is valued at $11,150,022 and is expected to be completed by October 2020.

This award is the result of a competitive acquisition, with 17 offers received.
