Personnel from the New Jersey National Guard 21st Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team (WMD-CST) revalidated their skills at the U.S. Army North at the Arm and Hammer Park, Trenton, N.J., Nov. 18.
The CST must be validated on common tasks every 18 months, which include identifying threats, the decontamination process and working with civilian authorities in a real-world environment to ensure that the unit is ready in event of a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threat.
The ball field was chosen because it fit the profile of a potential terrorist target.
