North Carolina: FEMA Specialists Offer Disaster Mitigation Tips at Lowe’s, Walmart and Ace Hardware

FEMA is hosting events at a number of home improvement stores in disaster-affected North Carolina counties in the coming weeks.

Residents can get tips and advice on how to protect their families and their homes from future disasters. FEMA mitigation specialists can answer questions about home repair, making disaster plans, putting together supply kits and the importance of flood insurance.

Events are confirmed at the following locations on Mon-Sat 0800-1630 through 1 Feb 2019:

  • Lowe’s – Clinton
  • Lowe’s – Lumberton
  • Walmart Supercenter – Laurinburg
  • Walmart Supercenter – Richlands
  • Ace Hardware and Home Center – Calabash
