Tracerco, part of FTSE 100 Johnson Matthey PLC, this week announced it has entered into a partnership agreement with Military supplier Atlantic Diving Supply Inc. (ADS) to provide ruggedized and reliable radiation solutions including Personal Electronic Dosimeters (PEDs) and handheld survey equipment to those working in the Military and CBRNe sectors.
ADS specializes in providing CBRNe detection and response operational equipment and innovative logistical solutions. With an experienced team of retired US military and government professionals, ADS will offer expert advice and diverse logistics in addition to an established sales channel to the US Military sector.
Tracerco’s family of PEDs offer both certified equipment suitable for use in hazardous and explosive environments and instrumentation for radiation monitoring in response scenarios. All of Tracerco’s PEDs are weather, shock and drop proof. The systems utilize a proprietary Dose Vision software, allowing users who are not specifically trained to measure radiation exposure or monitor radiation dose rates to have an simple method of managing radiation exposure.
Dose rates received and the GPS location of multiple PED+ devices can also be transmitted to the DoseVision Live Android application with Bluetooth technology. This allows the remote management and monitoring of situations to be undertaken safely, away from an event.
“We are excited to be entering into a partnership with ADS and servicing the CBRNe and Military sectors,” stated James Tomlinson, Commercial Co-coordinator for Tracerco’s Sensor Technologies business. “Together with our combined expertise and innovative solutions, the integration will allow us to more readily offer industry leading technology to meet the radiation monitoring and management requirements of all those working in difficult conditions and potentially explosive environments.”
The expertise of ADS in the supply of defense and response equipment, combined with streamlined logistics, will allow more CBRNe First Responders and Military professionals to utilize Tracerco’s radiation monitoring equipment to protect themselves against the dangers of radiation exposure using simple and intuitive user interfaces to convey potentially complex information.
“Tracerco’s well established reputation in the international radiation detection community is a welcome addition to the ADS team,” said Brad Riddick, ADS Special Missions business development specialist. “We are looking forward to working with them to bring their technology and capability to the U.S Military and Federal government. It is our goal to ultimately provide a complete Personal Electronic Dosimetry solution set for our customers’ needs.”
