The U.S. Navy has awarded five small businesses a five-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award contract for worldwide passive security barrier services for Department of Defense facilities worldwide.
The companies can compete for task orders on logistics support; installation, development and field supervision of marine facilities; and engineering, design, prototyping and testing of passive water barrier systems.
The selected contractors include:
- Alutiiq Technical Services LLC, Anchorage, Alaska
- De La Fuente Construction Inc., National City, California
- Iyabak Construction LLC, Anchorage, Alaska
- Virtual Computing Technology, Carlsbad, California
- Windy Bay Services LLC, Anchorage, Alaska
The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months with an expected completion date of May 2020. Fiscal 2015 operation and maintenance Navy contract funds in the amount of $50,000 are being obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
DoD said this contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with five proposals received.
The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, Port Hueneme, California, is the contracting activity.
