Air Force Purchases MultiRAE Chemical Detection Sensors

The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall AFB, Florida, has announced intentions to award a sole source contract for MultiRAE Chemical Detection Sensors.

The MultlRAE Pro Kits will be employed by Air Force Emergency Management primary duty personnel and augmentation teams to locate and Identify chemical vapors in the air or released from contaminated surfaces.

Each system can be configured with up to six sensor combinations depending upon mission and hazard, enabling the teams to detect, identify and map vapor sources within contaminated areas, determine oxygen levels, verify areas are free of vapor contamination and to detect and identify the presence of downwind airborne chemical vapor hazards.
