Emergency Radiation Worker Dosimetry Guidelines

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has announced intentions to award a sole-source purchase order to the National Council on Radiation Protection & Measurements (NCRP) for the development of emergency radiation worker dosimetry guidelines.

NCRP will provide guidance on how to conduct emergency dosimetry during a radiological response to ensure the safety and health of first responders and agency personnel.

NCRP was established by the U.S. Congress in 1964 to collect, analyze, develop and disseminate in the public interest information and recommendations about protection against and measurements of radiation.
