The U.S. Department of Defense has recently awarded the following notable contract related to the fields of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) or explosives countermeasures, equipment or services:
Davis Defense Group Inc. of Fredericksburg, Virginia, is being awarded $14,877,238 for firm-fixed-priced task order MU62 under previously awarded contract (N00178-14-D-7687) for acquisition, logistics, and administration services in support of the Marine Corps Systems Command Program Executive Officer, Land Systems; Program Manager, Advanced Amphibious Assault; and Program Manager, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle programs.
Support includes program and financial management, logistics, engineering, and test and evaluation support to develop, test and deliver amphibious combat vehicles, upgrade and modify the existing fielded assault amphibious vehicles, and sustain and maintain the MRAP family of vehicle platforms: Buffalo, Cougar and M-ATV.
Work will be performed in Stafford, Virginia (98 percent), and Albany, Georgia (2 percent), and work is expected to be completed March 19, 2016. If all options are exercised, work will continue through March 2019.
This contract was competitively awarded via Seaport-e as a small business set-aside, with seven offers received. The Marine Corps Systems Command Quantico, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
