CBRN Winter Quarterly Forum Threat Update (Classified)

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) will host a classified CBRN Threat Update on 17 January 2024.

This meeting is taking place at the Secret level. In order to attend, you must submit your clearance to the National Strategic Research Institute by Friday, January 12, 2024.

Steven J. Griffin, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Department of Homeland Security

Mr. Steve Griffin is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Information Analysis Directorate within the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) office. In this role, he manages and drives the intelligence cycle as part of the DHS Intelligence Enterprise in order to collect and produce information and intelligence to answer DHS’s intelligence requirements relating to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, food-agriculture-veterinary, and health security issues.

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Griffin served as the Director of Plans and Operations in U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Office of Intelligence (OI) where he was responsible for the management of CBP’s nationwide collection operations, including technical collection, human intelligence, and full motion video exploitation. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Director of OI’s Counterintelligence Division, where he managed the cyber intelligence and insider threat programs. Mr. Griffin’s previous Intelligence Community assignments include a variety of analytical, operational, and managerial positions with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), and the National Security Agency (NSA).
