The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Radiation Technology Group (RTG) is conducting market research on the availability of Battlefield Dosimeter to be evaluated and potentially fielded to Navy end-users.
The current Navy Battlefield Dosimeter is the IM-270/PD. The IM-270/PD is a battery-powered, self-indicating device. The shelf life of the IM-270/PD is nearing its end, due to the battery life.
For this reason, and in support of the next Battlefield Dosimeter, the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), through the Naval Dosimetry Center (NDC), has requested NAVSEA 04ND to commence the procurement of a replacement Battlefield Dosimeter that would meet the requirements for a triage dosimeter and also function as a dosimeter for Operations.
Responses to this RFI will help inform a planned solicitation for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with an estimated delivery of 270 days after contract award. It is anticipated that the award of the contract will be made on a low price technically acceptable basis.
Further details are available via Solicitation Number: N00167-15-EMG-0034. The response deadline is July 20, 2015.
