International Society for Disease Surveillance

The 2014 Conference of the International Society for Disease Surveillance (ISDS 2014) will be held 9-11 December 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The theme for this year’s conference— Public Health Surveillance – Challenges and Solutions for the Road Ahead— will highlight key challenges voiced by the public health surveillance community, and include strategies for incorporating the latest approaches, methodologies, and results into data-driven practices, programs, and policies.

- School absenteeism data
- Esri maps for Office and AGOL
- Data visualization
- Algorithms for surveillance
Both the pre-conference training on Dec. 9 and conference on Dec. 10-11 are designed to build capacity for public health surveillance through highly interactive sessions focused on informatics, policy, analytical methods, and practice. Furthermore, the robust networking opportunities with professionals from across the spectrum of public health surveillance, including practitioners, academic researchers, healthcare providers, and policymakers, provide an exceptional forum for advancing disease surveillance.
