DOE National Laboratory Technology Transfer Opportunities for Industry 2.0
November 9, 2021 - November 10, 2021
SOFWERX will host a DOE National Laboratory Tech Transfer Industry Event from 9-10 November 2021 in collaboration with USSOCOM’s Directorate of Science and Technology and the United States Department of Energy.
Potential collaborators are invited to attend to facilitate licensing and further development of National Laboratory technologies in order to accelerate development of End User capabilities.
The goal is to improve awareness and information sharing to identify future opportunities for collaboration as well as identify existing capability gaps, specifically related to Next Generation Effects At the Edge. This focus area refers to Non-Traditional, Non-Kinetic Effects on the Adversary, such as Electronic Warfare, Directed Energy, or Cyber options. These capabilities could be enabled by artificial intelligence, data analytics, next generation computing/comms/sensing, and/or other technologies.
This event will bring together minds from different parts of the innovation ecosystem to bridge the gap between R&D and deployment. It will also explore how existing National Lab technologies can be creatively applied or modified to create Next Generation Effects At the Edge. Featured technologies will be those that have matured beyond a proof-of-concept, reduced much of the developmental risks, and are currently available to Industry via a license agreement.
The event will focus on technology briefings by National Lab inventors to an audience of industry participants who have the capabilities and expertise to further develop, productize, scale, and deliver technology-based solutions. Representatives from USSOCOM and other government organizations will be in attendance to gain insight into emerging technologies, define existing capability gaps, and provide context on compelling end-user needs. SOFWERX will connect all of the pieces by providing the platform to share information, establish connections, and identify pathways to rapidly advance technologies toward acquisition in support of the USSOCOM Stakeholder requirements/desirements.
This event is intended to explore the realm of the possible. However, the below links provide context of operational scenarios.
