The U.S. federal government has recently awarded the following notable contract related to the fields of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) or explosives countermeasures, equipment or services:
Apogee-SSU JV LLC of Fayetteville, North Carolina, is being awarded a $37,360,049 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s Technical Support Groups (TSG). This is a five-year contract of a base one year and four year options.
TSGs are worldwide, military-led, rapidly deployable teams that provide the combatant commands and other U.S. government agencies the low-visibility weapons of mass destruction search capability to counter chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.
Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; and other continental U.S and outside continental U.S. locations, and is expected to be completed by November 2021.
Fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds in amount of $2,700,000 are being obligated at time of award. The contracting activity is Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia (HDTRA1-16-C-0071).
