PARTICIPANTS
UNIDIR encourages the participation of representatives and experts interested in nuclear disarmament, nuclear deterrence, and strategic arms control.
BACKGROUND
In July 2020, UNIDIR launched an informal dialogue on nuclear disarmament, nuclear deterrence, and strategic arms control, bringing together a diverse group of policymakers, experts, and civil society representatives from around the world. In September 2021, the Institute issued a findings paper that showcases key propositions, findings, and recommendations from the dialogue. Together, its points offer a promising vision and the elements from which to craft an agenda for enhanced global collaboration to reduce today’s nuclear dangers.
