Bechtel Awarded 1.3B for Pueblo Chemical Agent Destruction Plant

The U.S. federal government has recently awarded the following notable contract related to the fields of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) or explosives countermeasures, equipment or services:

Bechtel National, Inc., San Francisco, California was awarded a $1,340,391,614 modification (P00095) to contract W52P1J-09-C-0012 for Agent Operations of the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP).

The original contract was for PCAPP facility design, construction, equipment acquisition, systemization, pilot testing, operations, and closure of the plant to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile stored at the depot under this contract.

No funds are being obligated at award. Estimated completion date is July 19, 2019. Work will be performed in Pueblo, Colorado. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois is the contracting activity.
